Join Our Resilient Community

Mental Health is For Life. For you. For everyone.

Give an Hour, as a nonprofit, is committed to providing as many free services to the public as possible. We do this through the support of our dedicated volunteers and donors!

There are various volunteer opportunities as well as continued support for these volunteers. We engage licensed mental health professionals, wellness ambassadors, and peer supporters to support those in need and promote mental and emotional health.

Wellness Ambassador

Anyone and Everyone can be a Wellness Ambassador

Give an Hour is looking for volunteers that are interested in building strong and healthy individuals and communities to join our Wellness Ambassador Program.

Wellness Ambassadors are individuals who inspire their communities by modeling behavior that prioritizes mental health and emotional well-being.  This means practicing self-care and stress-management techniques, seeking support when needed, and being mindful of one’s own emotions and needs. By prioritizing your own well-being, you can better serve your communities and help others do the same.

Wellness Ambassadors are not mental health experts but advocates for themselves and their community, backed by the support and resources of Give an Hour.

Mental Health Professionals

Offer Professional Support to People We Serve Who Have Experienced Trauma

Give an Hour is inviting Mental Health Professionals to participate in our network and provide counseling to those who have been impacted by trauma.

Give an Hour Mental Health Professionals receive a number of benefits, such as continuing education credits, networking opportunities, professional development, and the opportunity to give back to their community.

Mental Health Professionals who are not currently licensed or interested in clinical care can still serve with Give an Hour in a number of ways. Contact us at providerrelations@giveanhour.org to learn more about our nonclinical volunteer opportunities.

Peer Supporters

Join Our Community of Peer Supporters

At Give an Hour, we invite individuals who are passionate about mental health and well-being to become Peer Supporters in our dedicated program. Peer Supporters are instrumental in creating resilient, supportive communities that prioritize mental health and emotional well-being.

As a Peer Supporter, you’ll be an advocate for your community, demonstrating the importance of self-care, stress management, and seeking support when needed. While you’re not expected to be a mental health expert, your role is vital in promoting mental health awareness and emotional well-being.
