First, we gathered to livestream the Annual Sunrise Ceremony from Las Vegas with local dignitaries, law enforcement and the sister of Kurt Von Tillow, one of the “58 Angels” who spoke about his life, his legacy and all of the kindnesses that his family enjoyed after his tragic loss. Secondly, in the afternoon, we gathering together at Conejo Creek North Park in Thousand Oaks. There were obvious connections between Survivors that had not seen each other since the second remembrance due to Covid 19. In addition, the “Route 91 Heals project’s” Peer Supporters read the names of the 58, we held a moment of silence for additional victims and all affected people and spent a few minutes at the Healing Garden together which was a short walk away. After the solemn reflection we had music, dancing, art projects and the company of four therapy dogs provided by Ventura and San Bernardino county’s Victim Assistance programs.
