VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that October 1, 2021, marks the fourth anniversary of the Las Vegas Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
Approximately 65 percent of the more than 24,000 attendees of the 2017 Las Vegas Route 91 Harvest Festival were from California, with the majority residing in Southern California. The Ventura County District Attorney’s Office and the Ventura County Family Justice Center are partnering with the California Victim Compensation Board and Give an Hour®, a national nonprofit that specializes in mental health and emotional wellness, to provide long-term NO COST support services to victims and families residing in Southern California through So Cal Route 91 Heals.
On Friday, October 1, 2021, survivors, and community members are invited to join locally from 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., for a live-streamed viewing of the Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony from Las Vegas. Additionally, survivors and community members are invited to connect with peers, create messages of hope through art, and honor the lives taken with a moment of silence and reading of their names at the Conejo Creek Park North Lakeside Pavilion in Thousand Oaks from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m
