PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NOVEMBER 2023
[NATIONAL] – Give an Hour, a national non-profit organization dedicated to developing resilient individuals and communities through responsive, scalable, individualized mental health programs aimed at closing access and delivery gaps to mental health care is thrilled to introduce the Veteran Workforce Toolkit. Supported by very well-known organizations including the University of Phoenix, Amazon, Booz Allen, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Hiring our Heroes, CVS Health, Magellan Federal, Transcend, R.E.A.L. Therapy Solutions, and VFW – the toolkit offers a transformative roadmap for organizations looking to improve their culture and support veterans as a core Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) group within their workforce.
“In this dynamic workplace, ensuring veterans have access to tailored mental health support at work matters because their journey doesn’t end with their military service,” says Dr. Trina Clayeux, CEO of Give an Hour.
The value of veterans in the workplace remains undeniable. Their unwavering dedication, exceptional skills, and unique perspectives enrich and enhance the fabric of organizations across the country. “It’s not just their battle; it’s our collective opportunity to stand by them and ensure they have the community necessary for continued growth and wellbeing,” adds Dr. Clayeux. The Veteran Workforce Toolkit is designed to empower leaders within these organizations to influence the veteran experience positively.
Key Benefits of the Veteran Workforce Toolkit include broadening the talent pool with highly skilled veterans, lowering recruitment, and training expenses, improving team dynamics and problem-solving, enhancing organizational culture and morale, improving service quality and customer relationships, and boosting public perception and reputation.
This toolkit provides practical solutions for success, including tools and surveys to assess and improve workplace culture, a roadmap to guide organizations every step of the way, and expertly curated examples, scripts, resources, and more.
