BOCA RATON, Fla. and Clarksburg, Md. | RangersAI, creator of the ScamRanger scam prevention platform, and Give an Hour, a national organization dedicated to providing mental health support to those impacted by human-made trauma, announced a collaboration to support participants and peer communities with tools focused on scam awareness, education, and early intervention.
The collaboration will introduce ScamRanger, an AI-powered mobile application designed to help users identify suspicious messages, understand scam tactics, and receive guidance on safe next steps before scams escalate.
Unlike traditional fraud systems that focus on suspicious financial activity when a transaction occurs, ScamRanger is designed to intervene earlier, at the point of initial contact, where social engineering, emotional manipulation, and trust exploitation often begin.
The collaboration comes at a time when trust in digital communication is rapidly eroding. Industry research shows that many consumers now hesitate to respond even to legitimate fraud alerts because they are unsure whether the communication itself is authentic.
“Scams today exploit trust and emotion as much as technology,” said Ayelet Biger-Levin, Founder and CEO of RangersAI. “We are entering a period where consumers increasingly struggle to distinguish between legitimate and fraudulent communications online. Prevention must combine technology, education, transparency, and compassionate guidance to help people rebuild confidence and recognize manipulation before financial or emotional harm occurs.”
As part of the collaboration, Give an Hour facilitators and participants will have access to scam-checking capabilities, educational resources, safety guidance, and customized messaging tailored to their community needs.
The initiative reflects a growing recognition that scam prevention requires a more human-centered approach, particularly for vulnerable populations and individuals who may be experiencing emotional stress, isolation, or re-victimization risks.
Research and lived experience continue to demonstrate that the effects of scams extend beyond financial loss. Many individuals impacted by fraud report feelings of shame, anxiety, grief, isolation, and diminished trust in themselves and others. By combining education, technology, and community support, the collaboration aims to help individuals recognize scams earlier while also addressing the emotional impact that often follows victimization.
“Fraud and scams can affect much more than a person's finances, they can impact confidence, trust, relationships, and overall well-being,” said Dr. Trina Clayeux, CEO of Give an Hour. “As scams become increasingly sophisticated, we believe individuals deserve access to resources that help them feel informed, supported, and empowered. This collaboration reflects our commitment to addressing the human impact of fraud while helping people build resilience and confidence in a rapidly changing digital world.”
The collaboration builds upon Give an Hour’s broader efforts to address the mental health impacts of financial fraud through peer support, educational programming, community partnerships, and public awareness initiatives. Together, the organizations hope to contribute to a growing national conversation about prevention, response, recovery, and the importance of supporting individuals affected by scams and fraud.
The partnership has moved into implementation, with facilitator education, participant onboarding sessions, and awareness content now being delivered to participants. An initial cohort of users is already active on the platform, providing early engagement and feedback.

WASHINGTON, DC (Nov. 5, 2025) – Give an Hour®, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing no-cost mental health care to those in need, has announced a new strategic partnership with Therapy4Feds, an organization specializing in connecting federal employees, contractors, and public servants with culturally competent mental health providers.
Together, the organizations are launching a coordinated effort to expand access to mental health resources for laid off federal employees, while also strengthening professional support for the clinicians who serve them.
“Periods of uncertainty can compound financial stress, moral injury, and anxiety for individuals who have dedicated their careers to public service,” said Dr. Trina Clayeux, CEO of Give an Hour. “Our partnership with Therapy4Feds reinforces a shared commitment to sustaining the helpers who had sustained our government.”
Through this collaboration, Therapy4Feds network providers will have access to Give an Hour’s no-cost continuing education (CE) courses and training opportunities designed to build trauma-informed, evidence-based skills for working with high-stress, underserved, and service-oriented populations. In turn, Give an Hour’s provider network will be introduced to Therapy4Feds’ platform and resources to help connect their services to federal employees impacted by layoffs and who are in need of care and identify with their programming populations.
The partnership also integrates Give an Hour’s peer-support framework, extending a model proven effective with active-duty military, veterans, and first responders to the broader community of federal employees. By focusing on connection, shared experience, and proactive resilience, both organizations aim to create a bridge between clinical care and community-based wellbeing.
Roz Beroza, founder of Therapy4Feds, said, “It is now standard practice for therapists to be on-site after a natural disaster to effectively respond to the survivor’s trauma. Today, our federal workforce is suffering from a manmade disaster, which will impact them like those who experienced a major earthquake. Therapy4Feds was conceived as a call for therapists to help
respond to the grief and loss that unemployed federal workers will likely experience during this time of massive layoffs. The job of responding to these mental health challenges is enormous. Partnering with Give an Hour allows us to reach more professionals and ensure that mental health support is available before, during, and after crises.”
In times of government disruption, the partnership will also promote no-cost counseling opportunities available through Give an Hour’s national provider network for individuals and families who identify with Give an Hour’s focus populations.
This collaboration reflects the shared values of both organizations: advancing equitable access, reducing stigma, and supporting those who serve others, whether in uniform, in federal agencies, or in the therapy room.
