About Rocky Mountain MIRECC

The mission of the Rocky Mountain MIRECC is to study suicide with the goal of reducing suicidal ideation and behaviors in the Veteran population. Towards this end, the work of the Rocky Mountain MIRECC is focused on promising clinical interventions, as well as the cognitive and neurobiological underpinnings of suicidal thoughts and behaviors that may lead to innovative prevention strategies.

Rocky Mountain MIRECC TBI Toolkit

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is a significant public health concern. The VA Rocky Mountain MIRECC TBI toolkit provides necessary information to address the needs of individuals with a history of TBI and co-occurring mental health conditions. The toolkit specifically emphasizes TBI in justice-involved and Military/Veteran populations. This toolkit is designed to assist professionals in identifying TBI and associated co-occurring problems and to facilitate determining potential need for further evaluation and/or treatment/case planning modification. In addition, relevant information and resources for families/support systems are available.
