Mental Health Counseling
Give an Hour increases the chance of full recovery for those who may be suffering through person-centered, barrier-free access to safe, effective, and evidence-based mental health services. Our organization provides customized support to understand how to find and access mental health care. For some programs, Give an Hour’s network of providers offer probono therapy for select populations.
Peer Support
Peer support is the process of giving and receiving encouragement and assistance to achieve long-term resilience and recovery. Give an Hour trained peer supporters are individuals with lived experience who offer emotional support, share knowledge, teach skills, provide practical assistance, and connect people with resources, opportunities, and communities of support. Peer support is not therapy.
Workshops and Resources
Give an Hour offers a wealth of prevention and literacy resources including custom workshops and digestible one page reference documents. Empowering recovery from difficult experiences and setbacks, to adapt, move forward, and experience growth, our series of evidence informed psychoeducational trainings and workshops deliver skills and tools to better care for themselves and those they love.
