MilSpouse Network Clinical Supervision Resources

Welcome to the MilSpouse Network’s Clinical Supervision Page!

Clinical supervision is the documented time a clinical supervisor and supervisee spend together to discuss the supervisee’s work, to review individual cases, and for the supervisee’s professional development. All mental health practitioners must receive clinical supervision.

Please note: In many states, potential clinical supervisors may need to go through a training and certification process in order to be an approved supervisor. In addition, the supervisee may need to go through an application process in order to gain approval to use a particular supervisor. This process may take months to complete. Every attempt will be made to match each candidate with a pro-bono supervisor. Please contact if you have questions or concerns.

Applying for Pro-Bono Supervision

If you are in need of supervision, please email to let us know and we will follow up shortly. Please keep in mind that this process can take several months depending on the requirements for your state and on the completeness of the form.

Applying to Become a Pro-Bono Supervisor

In order to become a supervisor through the MilSpouse Network, you will need to meet state requirements and have completed the Give an Hour Licensed Provider Registration Form, indicating your interest in the MilSpouse Network. Although you will be asked to go through the full registration process, you can mark you are unavailable to see clients – instead, you will be contacted from the MilSpouse Program Manger via email shortly after registration.

If you did not indicate you were interested in being a supervisor during your initial registration, please contact or update your profile directly on this site. Thank you for your interest in supporting your fellow military spouse colleagues!

    Hi There,
I am a Military Spouse currently stationed in Iwakuni, Japan with my husband who is a United States Marine. I am working on continuing to receive hours for my license in the state of CA, as I had to postpone it after we received orders last year.

I am looking for a supervisor who is willing to do online supervision with me so I can complete the remainder of my 500 hours.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from someone.
