Give an Hour was awarded a grant at the recommendation of Onward Veterans, an advised fund of Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the Schultz Family Foundation, to support GAH’s partnership with some of the largest post-9/11 veterans-serving organizations as they strive to increase access to behavioral health services. This grant will allow Give an Hour to embed volunteer mental health professionals within Team Red, White & Blue, Team Rubicon, and The Mission Continues in order to provide direct care services and referral services to a continuum of care and to raise awareness about mental health services for all individuals in their communities.

Give an Hour has been tasked with creating a long-term foundational relationship with the three supported veteran service organizations in order to raise awareness of mental health services for veterans, family members, volunteers, and supporters in communities where veterans live and to engage in ongoing services.

Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.

Team Rubicon unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams.

The Mission Continues empowers veterans who are adjusting to life at home to find purpose through community impact.
