What is Peer Support
Peer led support groups offer a space for you to connect, share experiences and receive guidance in an environment that nurtures your wellbeing. These specific groups are for parents and guardians of youth who are at risk for suicide and/or dealing with suicidal ideation.
Support Groups are:
- Person centered
- A Confidential and Safe space
- A Place for support from other parents in the same situation
- No cost to you
- Regular group meetings
- Virtual
- Facilitated by a trained peer supporter
- Resources and guided conversations
- Clinical support provided, if needed
